The waste statistics dashboard includes key statistics related to waste facilities registered with the Online Waste Levy System (OWLS). It also includes information regarding waste disposal and emissions from the waste sector.
When updates are made to the dashboard
- The waste facilities and tonnages data are updated at the end of each financial year.
- The emissions data is refreshed in April each year, when Te Rārangi Haurehu Kati Mahana a Aotearoa, New Zealand’s Greenhouse Gas Inventory, is updated.
