A former electroplating works was used to store large volumes of hazardous chemicals. A preliminary site investigation which took place in June 2016 indicated that the soil on the site may be contaminated from the electroplating works and hazardous waste stored on the site. The hazardous waste was removed from the site in late 2016. Further investigation has been undertaken to determine the extent of contamination on the site and the preferred remedial option that will inform development of the RAP.
